A photographer, a sculptor, and me

excerpts from my drawing-a-day project, part one, originally uploaded by redmeg8.
This is in its infancy, but, I feel so compelled to tell people that I'm letting the cat out of the bag before I know what is going to happen. Well, I know a little about it, obviously. :)
Anyway, this will make you THINK about the internet and its usefulness, I think...
I am a rapid Flickr addict (as most of you know) and I post all of my Drawing-A-Day project sketches there. In fact, they often go up there before they are posted to their "official" home over at Alltaglich. Anyway, I have a Flickr contact, t i m o (aka Tim Lowly), and he does gorgeous ala-Andrew Wyeth-esque (if I may be so bold) paintings that take my breath away. A few days ago, he sent me an email which I'll spare you the details of, but without which I wouldn't be posting this today...
He is the curator, art director, and Artist-In-Residence at Northpark University in Chicago and he is developing a show for March (?) around the theme of "still lives". He saw my drawing-a-day project and has asked me to be ONE OF THREE people in the show.
... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???
I... I'll have MY OWN WALL! I'll show my precious, beloved, little project to 100s of people! In Chicago, my most favouritist city in the Universe!
Now, that's about all I know. I'm assuming it'll be in their Carlson Gallery on the banks of the north branch of the Chicago River, but, I haven't confirmed that. Nor do I know precise dates or the identities of the other 2 artists.
When I do, as I'm sure you have surmised, I will let you know! I think this is worthy of a postcard mailing... at least. :D
Can you tell I'm excited?? Can you FEEEEEEL it through your glowing screen? Woo hoo!!
