New yard!

I've had my eye on our sad little yard since we moved in last summer. I didn't have the funds, gumption, drive, or time to do anything about it then because of the wedding, etc.

So, the last two weekends have been yard time! Two weekends ago Erin visited and we planted the pear tree and planted those flowers in the flower bed. Yesterday, Eric & I dug up the "lawn" (read: crabgrass, clover & moss) and laid some sod. This evening I finished off the flowers.

I have my fingers crossed as I've never attempted anything like this in my life. BUT, I have genetics behind me, so, I'm hoping...

Feels even more like home now :)
